The Great Sacandaga Lake Association, GSLA, is a non profit organization keeping the residents of the lake informed. A volunteer had created their website years ago and he was an engineer, so there was a lot of information thrown at a potential visitor that was not easy to navigate.
We broke the information up, enlarged the text and added some animation to entice reading of the content. We also added calls to action on every page to encourage membership – and someone actually joined the first day we had the new site up.
We also added a WooCommerce store so that memberships and donations were easily accepted with minimal effort on the part of the board.
As they need updates we create a series of video tutorials that the board can keep on file – so the next time they need to make a change they know how to do it.
